Oregon starts in Payette, ID and ends in Port Orford at the Pacific Ocean. The state is beautiful and green with trees. Most of the TAT is non-pavement but has an acceptable amount of back road pavement.
You’ll travel no longer than 200 miles for motels, gas, or food. There are sections in this state where you will be very remote, or out in the boondocks (as they say). Just watch your fuel and have extra water and food. If you are camping, this should not be a concern.
This will be an enjoyable ride for you with these great areas along the way: Whitman National Forest, Malheur National Forest, the west edge of Strawberry Mt. Wilderness, the southern border of the Black Canyon Wilderness, Ochoco National Forest, Deschutes N.F., Newberry National Volcanic Monument, Newberry Crater, Pauline Lake, East Lake, Oregon Cascade Recreational Area, Umpque N.F., and Iskiyou N.F.
Enjoy and ride with care and respect toward the end of your journey!
